Wamburang Women's Choir

About

The Wamburang Women’s Choir is a choir for First Nations women of all ages and levels of experience. Led by Alinta Barlow – proud Ngunnawal woman with many years of experience in singing and performing around Canberra – the choir focuses on contemporary music and Indigenous languages of Australia. The choir meets weekly on Monday afternoons during term time with the goal of working towards an end of semester and end of year performances for family and friends.

Eligibility

This program is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women of all ages and levels of experience.

Term 1: Monday 9 February - Friday 27 March (7 weeks)

Term 2: Tuesday 28 April - Friday 12 June (7 weeks)

End of Semester Concert: Monday 29 June

 

Semester 2

Term 3: Monday 20 July - Friday 18 September (9 weeks)

Term 4: Monday 12 October - Friday 13 November (5 weeks)

End of Year Concert: Monday 16 November
